Reycling giant Viridor is to process thousands of tonnes of glass waste produced in Tayside at its newly upgraded Scottish plant.
Firefighters quickly extinguished a blaze at a Perth recycling centre. They were called to Viridor on the Friarton Bridge Park, Friarton Road, Perth, at around 3.50pm on Sunday after reports that a shredding machine motor had caught fire. They used a jet and two breathing apparatus to deal with the incident.
