A final allocation of tickets has been released for the sell-out Status Quo concert at the Montrose Music Festival on May 23.
Just 300 tickets have been released for sale priced £37 each and are available from www.ticketline.co.uk.
The organisers have also been granted a licence allowing those aged under 18 (but no younger than 13) to attend the concert when accompanied by an adult.
Organisers of the Montrose Mo Fest were on the edge of their seats as councillors debated granting an occasional alcohol licence for next month’s visit of Status Quo.
Demand to see the legendary UK rock band at Montrose East Links, as part of Montrose Music Festival, has been exceptional, with the initial release of tickets selling out in just three days.
Festival chairman David Paton said: “We’ve been working hard with the concert promoters to make as many tickets available to fans as possible, and are delighted to be in a position to release a further 300 tickets for Status Quo.
“From past experience, we expect tickets to sell fast which is testament to Status Quo and its reputation as one of the best UK rock bands of all time.”
This is the only ticketed event of MoFest 2014. The rest of the weekend’s entertainment is free of charge with a range of bands, of all styles and genres, playing at a range of venues in the town.
