Two police officers were attacked by a drunken reveller after he mistook them for thieves, Perth Sheriff Court has heard.
Stuart Wallace started shouting at the pair when he spotted them coming out of his tent at the T in the Park campsite, near Kinross.
Along with security guards from G4S, they had been trying to clear the area after the music festival had ended on July 15.
Wallace, of Rosemount Grove in Leven, had been elsewhere at the time and returned to collect his belongings.
His solicitor told the court: “He didn’t realise at that stage that they were officers. I’m told that, although they were wearing high-vis clothing, a number of revellers had also been wearing similar garments.
“Wallace was getting water, came down the hill and saw somebody alighting from his tent.”
The 22-year-old admitted on Wednesday that on July 15 at Campsite Blue 4, Balado he resisted, obstructed and hindered two officers in the execution of their duty by lashing out with his arms and legs and struggling violently.
He was fined £450.
