Dundee 0 Rotherham 1: Dark Blues worn down by Millers

Dundee, in the first of their three- game English exercise, went down to Rotherham in their Dens Park friendly.

A second-half winner from Republic of Ireland international Paul Green was sufficient for the sprightly Millers, who will finish their tour of Scotland with a trip to Partick Thistle this weekend.

This was always going to be a tough test for the Dark Blues against opposition from south of the border, and so it proved.

Skipper Kevin Thomson made his first pre-season start after being ruled out up until now with a hip injury.

Highly-rated kid Calvin Colquhoun came into the start for a chance to stake a claim ahead of the big kick-off in less than a fortnight.
