A teenager has appeared in court to deny a charge of trying to get into a Scottish Cup game at Arbroath’s Gayfield Park when he was drunk.
Lewis Brown, 19, from Larbert, appeared on a police undertaking before Sheriff Derek Reekie at Forfar Sheriff Court following the alleged incident earlier this year.
He is accused of attempting to enter an area of the ground on Saturday January 18 during the match between Arbroath and Falkirk while drunk.
Trial was set for May 20 and Brown will return to court for an intermediate diet in the case on April 28.
The fourth-round tie ended 0-0, with Falkirk going on to win the replay 2-0.
