Judge orders psychological assessment for man accused of Dundee murder and bow and arrow threat

A murder accused has had his case continued so his mental health can be assessed.

Charles Little, 31, today appeared at the High Court in Glasgow charged with murdering Gordon Diduca, who was also known as Gordon Adams, on September 24, in Dundee’s Dundonald Court.

Little is alleged to have threatened occupants of a flat with a bow and arrow, repeatedly striking the front door and attempting to force entry to the property.

His case was previously continued without plea in January due to concerns about his “fluctuating” mental health.

Today, judge Lady Rae continued Little’s case again for a psychiatric assessment to be carried out on him.

A motion for the assessment was agreed by both defence counsel Mark Stewart and prosecutors.

Little is further accused of, in communal landing at an address in Dundonald Court, assaulting Mr Diduca, Jason Sinclair and Colin Hughes, threatening them with a bow and arrow, and repeatedly firing arrows towards them.

Little is also alleged to have then repeatedly struck Mr Diduca on the body with a knife and murdered him.

He is also alleged to have struck Mr Sinclair with a knife.

At a previous appearance, Little made no plea at Dundee Sheriff Court and is presently remanded at HMP Perth.

His preliminary hearing was continued until March 9 at the High Court in Glasgow once an assessment is carried out.
