Dundee man, 45, allegedly forced young teen girls to send him photos and videos of them naked

A man has been accused of forcing young teenage girls to send him pictures and videos of themselves naked.

Francis Burns allegedly targeted four children and induced them to send him sexual images.

It is also alleged he threatened to post the pictures online to coerce the girls into sending him more.

And he is also accused of threatening to have one of the teenagers taken into care if she did not do what he asked her.

The 45-year-old faces a total of 14 charges and is due to go on trial at Dundee Sheriff Court on July 3.

All the charges relate to offences alleged to have been committed at his former home in Dundee’s East School Road.

He denies sending written sexual communication to a young teenage girl by sending her pictures of his private parts in July last year.

Burns also denies causing the same girl to participate in sexual activity by inducing her to take pictures and record videos of herself naked and then send them to him.

He also denies placing her in a state of alarm and apprehension by threatening to send the images to her family and post them on social media, unless she sent him more images and videos.

Burns, of the city’s Clepington Road, also denies sending a second girl written sexual communication containing pictures of his privates in August last year.

He denies causing the girl to participate in sexual activity and coercing her into taking naked pictures and videos of herself and sending them to him.

He also denies extorting further naked images and videos from the child by threatening to post ones he already had on social media, and threatening to have her removed from her family and placed in social care if she did not comply.

Burns also allegedly targeted a third child around the same time by sending her photos of his private parts.

He denies inducing the girl to take naked pictures and videos of herself and instructing her to send them to him.

He is further accused of targeting a fourth girl by sending her pictures of his privates and inducing her to send him naked images and videos of herself.

He denies the charge and also pleaded not guilty to having indecent photos of children, and taking, permitting the taking or making indecent images of children.
