Hundreds of guests will descend on Dundee tonight to see the winners crowned at the gala 2018 Courier Business Awards ceremony.
Hosted by Countdown presenter Rachel Riley and Scots comic Fred MacAulay, the annual black-tie awards ceremony will be held in lavish starlit surroundings in a purpose-built marquee at the Apex City Quay Hotel.
The event, which is being held in association with chartered accountants Henderson Loggie, will see more than 20 awards handed out to the best and brightest in business in Dundee, Angus, Fife and Perthshire.

Guests will enjoy a drinks reception and sumptuous three-course meal and there will be entertainment from Vardo, Alfa FNK and others.
Perth native Fred MacAulay said CBA 2018 promised to be a brilliant night and he was excited to celebrate with the finest companies and entrepreneurs that Courier Country has to offer.
“I’m really looking forward to it and I wish all of the shortlisted companies the very best,” he said.
The Courier Business Awards is in its sixth year and shines a spotlight on all that is good about the commercial life of east central Scotland.
The awards are designed to reflect the diverse nature of the local economy, with manufacturing, tourism and hospitality, services and other traditional sectors given equal billing with newer categories showcasing great design and digital innovation.
The ceremony will also see the prestigious title of Business of the Year bestowed on one exceptional company.
The 2018 awards will culminate with the winner of the Outstanding Contribution award being revealed, a title currently held by serial Dundee entrepreneur Chris van der Kuyl.
Courier editor-in-chief Richard Neville said it had been another fantastic year for the awards.

“The shortlisted companies and individuals that will be in the room tonight should be proud of what they have achieved already as the awards’ judging is a rigorous process.
