Dundee United gaffer Ray McKinnon believes fullbacks Lewis Toshney and Paul Dixon can provide key attacking options this season.
A feature of the Tangerines’ performances so far has been the number of chances being created from crosses.
Ray feels the willingness of his wide defenders to get forward has been vital to that.
“I think a lot of credit goes to Toshney and Dixon. Their energy has been phenomenal and they are getting to the by-line and getting crosses in,” he said.
“It’s good when your fullbacks are breaking like that and it is something we have been working on.
“It’s still early and we have to keep working on the things we’re trying to do, but hopefully things like that will stand us in good stead for this year.”
