Taxi driver assaulted in Forfar after pick-up from Dundee

Police have revealed that a taxi driver was attacked in Forfar at the weekend.
The driver was attacked in Kemsley Park in the early hours of Sunday after picking up a fare in Dundee.
The taxi driver had picked up six men in the Candle Lane/Dock Street area of the city at around 2am and drove them to Forfar, arriving there about 2.15am. The taxi is described as van style and light coloured.
When the men got out of the taxi, he was suddenly assaulted in what police described as an unprovoked attack.
Because he was sitting in his cab, he was unable to defend himself.
Police are appealing for anyone with information to help them find the attackers.
One suspect is described as being about six foot tall, of stocky build and a wearing a blue polo shirt and jeans and his hair was swept over to the side. Two other men in the group may have been wearing white T-shirts.
Anyone who may have seen the group in Dundee or Forfar, or who has any information, is asked to contact police on 0300 111 2222 or any officer.
