The seeds of a successful annual event were sown at the first Peel Farm tattie festival in rural Angus.
Visitors to the attraction near Lintrathen were able to pick up tips on growing their own spuds and making the best choice from a host of varieties on offer.
The nutritional benefits of potatoes were covered in the weekend celebration, at which George Marshall of Alba Catering created a variety of tasty tattie treats.
Peel Farm is planning to highlight the area’s heritage throughout the agricultural year and said the start of the tattie planting season was the perfect place to start.
