Magician Michael Brandie during one of his 12 one-hour magic shows to raise funds for the Cancer Research Relay For Life.
Magician and illusionist Michael Brandie performed for 12 hours on Saturday in aid of Arbroath’s Relay for Life.
Michael performed 12 one-hour shows continuously from 10am until 10pm at the Abbey Theatre and he raised just more than £2,000.
He said: “I am blown away by the support that was shown for this event. Thank you so much to each and every person who came to the shows.
“I’m overwhelmed. In fact by 7pm I was about brought to tears in my dressing room by the amount of people that came along to support.”
He thanked the Relay for Life committee for its support and also Arbroath Round Table and the Limelight Theatre.
Michael also paid tribute to all the volunteers at the theatre who worked hard to make things go smoothly.
Organiser and promoter Jonny Booth said: “When Michael suggested doing the magic marathon in aid of Relay for Life, we were delighted as this shows how individuals can contribute this year by doing something that they love.”
