Forfar Sheriff Court.
A bride-to-be kicked and punched a woman she thought was coming on to her fiance.
Jenna Daun, 21, of Glenogil Terrace, Forfar, appeared at the town’s sheriff court on Thursday following the incident on January 20.
She admitted assaulting a woman on Don Street in the town by seizing her hair, pulling her to the ground, repeatedly punching and kicking her on the head and body and butting her face.
The court heard the attack took place following an altercation in Club One.
Depute fiscal Lynne Mannion said: “The complainer was stumbling and reached out to keep her balance, grabbing hold of the accused’s partner.
“When Ms Daun saw the complainer grab on to her partner she told her to get away from her man.”
It was not until leaving the club that the assault took place, leaving the victim with bruising to the head and face.”
Defence agent Bob Bruce said Daun and her partner are to be married in the coming weeks and are expecting a child. Sheriff Kevin Veal deferred sentence until August 15 for reports.
