The incident happened around 12.45pm on Tuesday afternoon outside the Poundstretcher store on the High Street. The shoplifter then made off across the street and into Aimer Square. She’s described as being between 35 and 39 years old, of slim build, with long light brown hair. She spoke with an English accent. The stolen goods were recovered and the victim was not seriously injured. Police are viewing CCTV in the area and officers would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone who can identify the suspect. Anyone with information is being urged get in touch with Police Scotland Tayside Division on 101 or speak to any police officer.
