A man who threatened to punch his ex-partner’s “pus” has been placed on a community payback order (CPO).
Dundee Sheriff Court heard yesterday that on December 13 Jason Reilly, 23, sent a text message to Toni Mitchell.
Reilly, of Kinghorne Road, admitted he sent the message threatening to attend at her home address and assault her, while on bail.
Depute fiscal Eilidh Robertson said: “Shortly after 11am on December 13 she received a text message from the accused telling her that he was going to go up there and punch her ‘smelly little pus’.”
When interviewed by police he admitted there had been conflict between the pair due to Miss Mitchell not allowing him access to their daughter.
Defending, Jim Laverty said it was “disgraceful behaviour” his client was ashamed of.
He said: “There had been a slight schism between them and Mr Reilly had been kept out of the loop in relation to a school production earlier in the week.”
Sheriff Richard McFarlane placed Reilly on a community payback order and ordered him to do 60 hours on unpaid work.
