ByThe Courier Reporter
A group of gangsters who transported drugs and money made from the drug trade between Glasgow and Dundee are facing lengthy jail sentences.
William Anderson, 26, Stephen Wilson, 41, Daniel Jebb, 64, and Robert Maxwell, 57, were caught by police probing links between hoodlums in the cities.
Detectives also arrested Leon Bruce, 40, and Jordan Mitchell, 24, during their intelligence-led probe.
The High Court in Edinburgh heard on Tuesday how the six men were involved in a racket that saw Glasgow-based drug dealers supply their counterparts in the east with heroin.
The story emerged following a hearing that was heard before Judge Lord Boyd.
Anderson, of Arklay Street, Dundee, Wilson, of Step Row, Dundee, Jebb, of Balglass Avenue, Glasgow, Maxwell, of Formby Drive, Glasgow, Bruce, of Tullideph Road, Dundee, and Mitchell, of Hamilton, South Lanarkshire, pleaded guilty to drugs supply and money laundering charges.
The offences took place between May and August last year.
Lord Boyd deferred sentence on the six men to the High Court in Glasgow, on August 4.
