Officers spoke to members of the public who were at the Wellgate on Wednesday afternoon in the wake of the claims. The incident had been reported after a young mum went on a shopping trip with a two-year-old and prompted significant concern on social media sites. Police Scotland said today that investigations are at an end. “Enquiries were made into the circumstances and it was established there was no evidence of criminality,” a spokeswoman said. “We would like to thank members of the public for their assistance in this matter.”
