The gardens and grounds of Cambo Estate were the setting for a unique musical performance. The highlight was a world premiere of a new work by John Luther Adams. From A Distance, specially created for the festival, featured a huge number of horns ringing out through Cambo’s woodlands. Other highlights of the festival’s final day included a performance at Crail Church by John Butt. He took to the Harrison and Harrison organ to showcase a mixed programme of music including masterworks by Bach and Handel. The organ was originally built for the private house of John W Blyth (Michael Portillo’s grandfather).
