Two wind turbines given the green light in Angus Council review
ByThe Courier Reporter
Two wind turbines on farmland near Edzell have been given the go-ahead by an Angus Council review committee.
The application to install two 800kW turbines 74 metres high was refused by the council in January on the basis of unacceptable visual impact and their proximity to the Caterthun Hillforts.
However, an appeal by applicant Greg Yarr to the development management review committee has seen the decision overturned. He will be granted permission, subject to appropriate conditions being submitted to the next meeting of the committee.
The turbines will be located around 5km to the north west of Edzell, on farmland 600m west of Witton Farm.
