A bookkeeper is to stand trial accused of swindling £192,000 from the decorators firm she worked for.
Catherine Bryceland appeared at Dundee Sheriff Court accused of embezzling the massive sum from Raymond Gloag Painters and Decorators in Dundee.
It is alleged she took the money while employed as a bookkeeper at the firm between January 1 2006 and December 31 2009.
Bryceland, 49, of Wellgrove Street, Dundee, pleaded not guilty to a single charge of embezzlement on indictment.
Kris Gilmartin, defending, said large amounts of evidence in the case had been agreed with the Crown.
He said: “This is an unusual case to call in the sheriff court. There is a very detailed joint minute and it is likely this will be added to.”
Fiscal depute Vicki Bell said the trial would last at least eight days.
Sheriff Simon Collins QC set a trial date in May.
