A MAN’S BODY has been found in his Dundee flat more than three months after he died.

Neighbours in the Charleston Drive block yesterday spoke of their shock at the grim discovery of 36-year-old James Lindsay.

It has emerged that just a day later, a 40-year-old mum was also found dead in her home after lying for around two weeks.

The body of Kim Crighton was discovered at her flat in Catterline Crescent.

Police are not treating the two incidents as connected.

Mr Lindsay’s neighbour Hazel Jamieson (52), who has lived in the block for nearly nine years, said she was not even aware the flat was occupied.

She said: “I’d never seen him coming or going at all, and I know most people in here.

“The police came to my door and asked if I had seen anything. I was shocked when I heard about it. It’s a shame.”

Andy Ross (60), who has lived in the block for seven years, said: “I didn’t think anyone even lived there.

“There were three officers on the stairs when I came home from work, two with boiler suits on.

“It’s sad that someone lay there for months and that no one knew him.”

Mr Lindsay’s family was too upset to comment, but floral tributes were left outside his flat.

One read: “Rest in Peace Jamie. You will be well looked after in heaven son. Sadly missed.”

Just days after Mr Lindsay was discovered, the body of mum-of-two Kim Crighton was found at her St Mary’s home.

She had lain dead for two weeks and police are treating her death as unexplained.

A spokesman said: “Tayside Police attended at Charleston Drive, Dundee, following a report of a sudden death of a 36-year-old man. There are no apparent suspicious circumstances and, as with all sudden deaths, a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.

“Police also attended at Catterline Crescent, following a report of the sudden death of a 40-year-old woman. The death is being treated as unexplained and inquiries are continuing.”
