Police in Fife have launched an investigation after the discovery of a man’s body in Glenrothes at the weekend.
The man, who has not yet been identified, was found by a dog walker in the Collydean area of the town on Saturday afternoon. It is believed the body had been there for some time.
Officers are treating the death as suspicious and have sealed off the wooded area near MacTaggart Way, where the grim discovery was made.
Superintendant Dougie Milton, who is directing enquiries, said: ”The investigation is at its very earliest stages and we are attempting to establish the circumstances of this unexplained death.”
Anyone with information is asked to call police on 0845 600 5702 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
