Planning officials have given the go ahead for T in the Park to be held at the Strathallan Estate.
Planners are backing T in the Park’s controversial move to Strathallan Castle.
A report on the music festival’s relocation bid, published on Friday afternoon, has recommended approval, despite thousands of objections.
Planning officers believe that the show should be given the go ahead in time for this summer’s event and for the next two years, while all issues, including wildlife and traffic concerns, are monitored.
Thousands of people have had their say on festival plan, with objectors arguing that it could have a detrimental impact on roads and birds, particularly protected ospreys which have been spotted at the site.
Supporters say the festival is vital for the local and national economy.
A planning spokesman said: “On the basis of the submitted information and review of all consultation responses and letters of representation, it is considered that the development complies with the relevant provisions of the Development Plan and there are no material considerations apparent which outweigh the Development Plan.”
