Royal Mail beating delivery targets in Courier country
ByThe Courier Reporter
Royal Mail has delivered a targetbeating performance in Courier country.
A total of 93.5% of first class mail arrived in the Perth postcode area the next working day over the first three quarters of the 2013-14 financial year.
In the DD area the figure was 94.9%, while in Fife it was 93.1%.
All three areas beat the 93% UK-wide target.
Nationally the service also topped its second class delivery mark with 98.8% of mail arriving within three working days against a target of 98.5%.
Paul Kelly, Royal Mail’s delivery director, said: “We are working hard to consistently improve our service performance.
“I’m pleased that we are meeting our target for first class letters and parcels and beating our second class target, particularly as we see some of our heaviest volumes during this time of year.”
