A Perthshire woman reported missing last week after last being seen on the Tay Bridge has been traced safe and well in St Andrews.
Ann Taylor, 52, had been missing since Friday, having last been spotted walking across the bridge toward Fife at 9.20pm.
In a brief statement issued on Tuesday morning, a police spokesman said: “Police Scotland can confirm that Ann Nicoll Taylor was traced safe and well in St Andrews yesterday evening.
“Thanks for your assistance in this matter.”
Officers had say her disappearance was out of character and that there was “concern for her welfare”.
Ms Taylor, from Muthill, is one of the country’s most senior Girl Guiding figures.
The Central Division Commissioner had, earlier last week, appeared in court accused of embezzling money from the Guides.
At Perth Sheriff Court she denied an allegation that she embezzled a total of £1337 from the Perth and Kinross section of the Guides between February 4 and May 25, 2013.
Her trial is scheduled to take place early next year.
