Music fans have been advised to bring wellies and umbrellas with rain forecast for much of the T in the Park festival.
However, they may also need suncream and shades as the sun could eventually emerge on the final day of the event.
The festival opens today with Kasabian, David Guetta, Sam Smith and Mark Ronson just some of the names on the line-up.
The event is taking place at the Strathallan Castle estate in Perthshire for the first time this year.
Rain showers are expected on Friday and during the day on Saturday, with heavy rain predicted for Saturday evening.
Sunday is likely to be dry with some sun in the afternoon.
John Griffiths, a forecaster with MeteoGroup, said: “It’s going to be quite cloudy today with a few showers through the day.
“There will probably be quite a dry start on Saturday with sunshine in the morning, but cloud is going to build up through the day with one or two showers.
“In the evening rain is going to push in from the west and will turn increasingly heavy.
“By 6am on Sunday the rain should have moved away and then it will be not too bad. There will be quite a cloudy start but it should be dry with sun in the afternoon.”
Temperatures are expected to be mild, reaching 19-20C on Friday, 18-19C on Saturday and 19C on Sunday.
Organisers expect 85,000 people a day at the three-day event with the likes of Avicii, Stereophonics, The Libertines, James Bay and Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds all on the line-up.
