‘Milestone’ for new Forth bridge as tower is finished

The team building new Forth bridge have reached a ‘milestone’ with the completion the first tower of the £1.4 billion project.
One of the southern approach towers of the Queensferry Crossing has been finished by builders with the structure expected to be completed by the end of 2016.
The three main towers will sit 50 metres higher than the Forth Road Bridge.
Tweeting a picture of the tower, the team behind the project said, “A small milestone for the new Forth bridge as one of its southern approach towers is completed.”
