Detectives have released a new image in an attempt to identify a young man whose badly decomposed body was found in remote woodland two years ago.

The body was discovered in Glenorchard Road in Blamore, near Glasgow, on October 19 2011.

Police say there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death but the man has never been identified, despite extensive inquiries.

A team of forensic anthropologists at Dundee University created a facial reconstruction in the hope of tracing the man’s family.

Professor Sue Black, from the university’s Centre for Anatomy and Human Identification, said the team analysed the remains to identify key anthropological features.

Anyone with information should contact the police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
