The family of a missing grandmother have made an emotional appeal for her to return home.
Linda MacDougall, 56, was last seen at her home in Alloa, Clackmannanshire, on the morning of February 27.
Mrs MacDougall missed Mother’s Day with her son Scott, 30, and daughter Laura, 28. The missing woman is also grandmother to Cara and Corey, both aged three.
Police say her disappearance is completely out of character and fear for her safety in the cold weather.
At a media conference, her husband Willie, 56, said: “You are the loving and caring centre of the family.
“Mother’s Day was totally incomplete with you not being there.”
The distraught grandfather pleaded for any information on his wife’s disappearance. Police are hopeful that someone may remember seeing Mrs MacDougall and her distinctive shopping bag.
It is believed she was carrying the bag decorated with pink and red love hearts when she was last seen at 7.30am on the day she went missing.
Inspector Charlie Mitchell, of Central Scotland Police, said: “Despite extensive searches and inquiries being carried out, there have been no confirmed sightings of her.
“We are growing increasingly concerned for Linda as it is totally out of character for her.
“The weather has also been extremely cold and we appeal for anyone with information to come forward.”
The inspector added: “We are keen to hear from anybody who may recall seeing a woman walking carrying this bag or who may have found the bag discarded.”
Mrs MacDougall is described as around 5ft with greying, blonde hair and glasses.
She was last seen wearing a three-quarter-length shiny black padded jacket and jeans.
