John Robertson confident East Fife can be giant-killers once again

East Fife will have to complete an SPL hat-trick if they’re to make it to the Scottish Communities League Cup semi-finals, after they were drawn away to Kilmarnock in the next round.
Dundee United will welcome Falkirk, who pulled off the other big shock of the third round by beating Rangers, to Tannadice.
Hibs entertain Celtic, while St Mirren will play Ayr United. The matches will be played on October 25 and 26.
Methil boss John Robertson, whose team have already seen off Dunfermline and Aberdeen to get to the last eight, admitted a trip to Ayrshire wasn’t the tie he would have chosen.
However, he insisted that his players will approach the Rugby Park match with the same attacking intent that they showed at Pittodrie in midweek.
Robertson said: “In some respects this is like the Aberdeen match because it’s another long journey.
“I was really hoping we would get a home draw as a reward for our supporters, but that’s what cup football is all about.
“We’ll try our best to do the same again. We set up our team to win every match we play and Kilmarnock will be no different. They like to play football, and we like to play football.”
