Dundee interim manager John Brown paid tribute to goalkeeper Rab Douglas after he helped the team to their first SPL win since November 17.
You have to go back all that way to find the previous league victory over Hibs at Dens and this 2-1 success over St Mirren was earned by a terrific second-half comeback.
Trailing 1-0 to a first-half goal from Dougie Imrie, the Dark Blues first equalised through John Baird on 68 minutes then scored the winner through Jim McAlister 10 minutes later.
The heroics of Douglas in the first period proved crucial and Brown was lavish in his praise for the Dens No 1.

“I didn’t realise it was November since our last victory in the league,” said Brown. “You wouldn’t think that (we were going to win) in the first half. We were poor in the first half and St Mirren dominated.
“Big Rab Douglas made two unbelievable saves and if he hadn’t the game would have been dead and buried.
“Rab is the most experienced goalkeeper in the league. He has been in a UEFA Cup final and played at the highest level.
“He even picked up an injury but still pulled off those saves and was solid for us.
“A lot of the credit goes to him tonight for keeping the score down and allowing us to get our act together in the second half and come back.”
