Dundee United boss Jackie McNamara insists he is fully focused on the future at Tannadice rather than being distracted by interest from elsewhere.
The manager’s exploits at the club have alerted other sides to his managerial skills, with English Championship strugglers Blackpool expressing an interest earlier this week.
That approach was rebuffed by United and McNamara himself, with the boss already laying down plans for next season with chairman Stephen Thompson.
The manager said: “Nothing has changed. We will just get ready for Sunday and then look forward to next week. There is nothing really more to say about it.
“I have been working with the chairman for the last few months preparing for next season.
“You have to be ready for different scenarios with players coming in, players out of contract there’s speculation about others moving.
“Last year, we lost a few key players like Johnny Russell, Jon Daly, Willo Flood and Barry Douglas, so I think we have coped well and have brought good additions in.
“It will be the same every year.”
Before next season, there is the small matter of the last league game of the season at Celtic Park and then next Saturday’s Scottish Cup final against St Johnstone at the same venue.
McNamara admitted he will have to look at the “bigger picture” when it comes to team selection against the Hoops.
He said: “To be honest, I haven’t really decided yet. I would imagine St Johnstone will be the same. You want everyone to be fit, fresh and available for next week.
“We have secured fourth spot in the league and there is nothing else that can happen on that side of things.
“But next week is a lot more important than Sunday for us. We want to win any game regardless.
“There is pride and everything else at stake but there is the bigger picture as well. I would much rather win next week than Sunday and I will take that into account.
“Sunday is a good chance to go there and enjoy it, get used to the pitch. Celtic have their own targets, but for me that’s not important.
“We have to go there, try to play and make a game of it.”
He added: “I just hope everyone comes through the Celtic game unscathed.
“We picked up a few knocks against Inverness and we had to change things around against Aberdeen but I thought the ones who came in did well the other night.
“We played OK despite the scoreline. There were a few things there with concentration that cost us with poor goals.
“We will assess everyone today.”
