Forfar boss does not expect Dunfermline to ease off

Forfar manager Gary Bollan does not believe that his side’s hopes of winning at Dunfermline today have been helped by the Pars having the League One title wrapped up.

The Loons need the points to aid their fight against relegation, however Bollan does not think teh Pars will lack for motivation.

Bollan said: “Dunfermline went to Albion Rovers last weekend and kept a clean sheet before scoring a late winner. That showed everyone that they are still playing for everything and have strong professional standards that they will not allow to drop.

“Their management team of Allan Johnston and Sandy Clark will want to continue unbeaten until the end of the season and break any records that they can along the way.

“Put it this way I do not expect to come up against a group of players with party hats on and throwing streamers in the air. Anything that we achieve at Dunfermline will have to be earned.”

The Station Park side head to Fife boosted by a 2-0 win over Peterhead last weekend.

Bollan added: “Our performance level had dropped the week before at Stenhousemuir and we paid a heavy price. It was good to see that level high again against Peterhead especially when you consider we had a make-shift defence with Scott Martin and Bryan Hodge playing in full back roles.

“Up front we are scoring goals and when you also consider that we kept a clean sheet against a good attacking side last weekend we will have confidence for East End Park.”

On-loan Dundee United defender Euan Spark should return for Forfar after a shoulder injury and Michael Kennedy is also available. Michael Travis and Michael Dunlop are both still out.
