East Fife set up friendly after Albion match call-off

East Fife’s League Two match away to Albion Rovers was one of the five SPFL games to fall foul of the weather on Saturday.

Officials at Cliftonhill called the game off early due to snow in the central belt, with no date as yet pencilled in for the rescheduled fixture.

Bayview boss Gary Naysmith has moved quickly to keep his side ticking over though and has arranged a closed doors friendly against Kelty Hearts on Tuesday.

As well as Dundee United’s clash against Inverness, the games between Motherwell and Kilmarnock in the Premiership, Livingston and Alloa in the Championship and Elgin and Clyde in League Two were also postponed.

Naysmith bolstered his squad last week by re-signing centre-half Jonathan Page from Dunfermline until the end of the season.

The player was due to have made his second debut for the Fifers at Cliftonhill, having played 11 games during his first loan spell that ended in December.

East Fife remain sixth in League Two, six points behind Annan but with two games in hand.
