Police in Fife are appealing for witnesses following a report of an indecent exposure in the Ochil Terrace area of Dunfermline.

At around 4.30pm on Friday January 2, a man reportedly exposed himself to a young woman who was walking in this area.

A 19-year-old man has been detained and a report has been sent to the procurator fiscal.

He is described as white man in his early twenties with a round face. He was wearing a beanie style hat; grey jogging bottoms and a puffa style jacket. He also had a bike with him.

Police are now appealing for witnesses following this incident. They are also appealing for any other possible victim to come forward, who may have been approached.

Detective Sergeant Karen Muirhead said: “While the victim was not physically harmed, she was understandably shocked and distressed by the incident.

“We are encouraging anyone who may have witnessed this or may have been a victim of a recent indecent exposure themselves to come forward and contact us immediately.

“This behaviour is unacceptable and we are eager to support anyone who may have been victim to this type of crime.”

Anyone with information about this incident should contact Police Scotland immediately on 101, or through the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
