The reward in the search for missing Glenrothes man Allan Bryant has been doubled.
There has been no trace of Allan, 24, since he was last seen on CCTV outside the town’s Styx nightclub in Caskieberran Road in the early hours of November 3.
And 100 days after his disappearance, there is now a £2,000 reward for information leading to him being found.
Local residents had already raised £1,000 to boost the search for Allan and this was matched by Kingdom Credit Union.
His father, Allan Bryant senior, said: “We can’t thank them enough.
“We’re not going to give in, no matter what. Even if the worst has happened to Allan, it’s just finding out what. People don’t just vanish.
“Something’s happened to him and we have to live with that day-in, day-out. What we need is a bit of closure.”
Mr Bryant, 47, said the next step in the search was a trailer campaign to raise awareness of his son’s disappearance.
A trailer has now been bought and will be posted in public places such as supermarkets once it has been modified and posters attached.
“It’s about keeping it in the public eye,” said Mr Bryant. “We need to find out what’s happened to our boy.
“It’s a living hell and it doesn’t get any easier. Each day it gets harder.”
When last seen, Allan was dressed in a navy, white and grey striped T-shirt, dark jeans and grey leather shoes.
He is described as being 5ft 6in, of medium build with short brown hair and blue eyes and has tattoos on both arms.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101.
