A body has been found in the search for a missing American tourist.
Susan McLean was last seen at the Moness Resort in Aberfeldy on May 17.
Her friend Lorna VanderZanden travelled to Scotland last month to reignite the search and it’s understood a search party organised by her was in the woods south of the town from 10am this morning.
Police confirmed remains had been found.
A spokesman said: “Police Scotland is in attendance at a wooded area near Aberfeldy following reports from a member of the public that what is believed to be human remains have been found.
“Police were made aware at 1.15pm today, Saturday August 15.
“The family of a woman missing from the area has been informed pending formal identification.”
