Konrad (centre) celebrates opening the scoring against Aberdeen.

Dundee’s Thomas Konrad insists that the Dark Blues are capable of going all the way to this season’s William Hill Scottish Cup Final following Saturday’s thrilling victory over Aberdeen at Dens.

Paul Hartley’s men took the lead early on through the German centre-half but his delight turned to despair shortly after when he inadvertently turned the ball into his own net.

With the clock ticking down, it looked certain that the game would go to a replay at Pittodrie but up popped goal machine David Clarkson with a 90th-minute winner to send the home fans into raptures.

Now, Konrad and the rest of his team-mates cannot wait for today’s fifth round draw.

When asked if Dundee can win the cup, Konrad said: “Yes, I am sure we can get a good run this season.

“We will see who our next opponents are and if we can win again, it is not too far away from the final.

“Aberdeen are one of the best teams in Scotland and we can take a lot of confidence from the win.”
