BusinessPort wins £400,000 of contracts

BusinessPort, a process management software consultancy in Dundee and Aberdeen, has secured a tranche of new contracts worth £400,000.

The projects are in the oil and gas, underwater technology and transport sectors.

It includes upgrades of its AgilityBMS business management software involving the migration of multiple systems into one centralised management portal to drive consistency and promote efficiency across different worksites.

The business is targeting turnover of £2.7m a projected rise of 23% on the firm’s £2.2m year-end figure for August 2014.

BusinessPort, which has a staff of 28, has local, national and international clients in the energy, defence, rail and engineering sectors.

BusinessPort managing director Peter Shields said: “We’re delighted to have secured these contracts with key players in the energy and rail transport sector.”

Recruits from Dundee’s video gaming industry helped the business to develop new features of AgilityBMS.

He added: “We’re delighted with the success of our IT development operation in Dundee. The innovative team has played a key part in our recently launched Management of Change module.”

BusinessPort’s solution is used in Europe, the Middle East, Asia and North America, and its client list includes oil majors, international contractors, industrial concerns and large engineering companies.

BusinessPort’s Dundee office is at West Victoria Dock Road.
