Outdoor gear retailers Mountain Warehouse enjoyed a record Christmas, with total sales up 19.0 % in the six-weeks ending January 4.
The company which has stores in Dundee, Perth, Stirling and Dunfermline attributes its performance to its bricks and clicks strategy.
The group opened its 200th store in Inverness before Christmas; meanwhile online sales rose 36.3%. It also launched “order from store” enabling customers to order in store for free home delivery.
It was boosted by Black Friday and Cyber Monday which combined to create its busiest ever four-day trading period, with sales jumping 33% and 53% respectively.
