International feel to Dundee College dance students’ Precipices show
ByNews reporter
An evening of dance presented by Dundee College students at The Space will have an international feel.
Each of the 19 BA dance students taking part in Precipices has choreographed one of the pieces in the show.
Polish student Dagmara Jerzak is using the film music of her countryman Jan AP Kaczmarek for her piece and Sheffield-born Lucy Haighton incorporates the music of French indie rock band Phoenix in her duet.
Kerry Docherty, from East Kilbride, has used her experience of living in Dubai to create a piece exploring the role of women in Arabic countries, while Southampton girl Melanie Forbes-Broomes uses the music of Detroit house and techno producer Omar-S.
The show runs on Thursday and Friday at 7pm and entry is free.
