More than 50 businesses will exhibit at a new business expo to be held in Dundee next week.

Dundee & Angus Expo will take place at Invercarse Hotel on Perth Road on Wednesday.

The event, hosted by Aberdeen-based Granite PR, which has run Granite Expo in Aberdeen for the last eight years.

As well as networking opportunities with a diverse range of business there will be several seminars from local experts.

These will cover topics such as flexible working, keeping data safe, winning customers, robotics and social media.

A Dundee and Angus pavilion was introduced to the Granite Expo two years ago.

Granite PR managing director Brett Jackson said interest in exhibiting at the event had exceeded his expectations.

He said: “I continue to see and hear lots of interest from Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire companies in doing business in Dundee and Angus.

“The expo format is ideally placed to create the bridge and act as a springboard for companies and individuals, giving them the opportunity to come together, do business and hopefully set the scene for fruitful relationships to come.

“We are delighted at the level of interest our inaugural expo in this area has received.”

Mr Jackson said that as well as companies from Tayside and Fife, a range of national organisations with links to the area will also exhibit.

He added: “For me, Dundee is an exciting place to do business.

“Like all cities, it has its challenges but its drive to innovate and diversify must surely be a model for other locations to sit up and take notice of.”

Tickets for the free event, which runs from 9am to 4.30pm, can be booked through Eventbrite.
