I have no files which indicate where he was brought up but he certainly played for Aberdeen sides Banks O’ Dee and Sunnybank before joining up at Ibrox. After leaving Rangers, Jackson played briefly with Morton and Partick Thistle. This article originally appeared on the Evening Telegraph website.
