Former BBC Radio Scotland Young Traditional Musician of the Year Robyn Stapleton is the latest guest of Montrose Folk Club.
Described by many as having one of the finest voices in folk music, the Stranraer native performs the traditional songs of her Scottish and Irish heritage, singing in the Scots, English and Gaelic language.
With a pure tone, wonderful control and an empathy for traditional songs, she has continued to build on her reputation by performing at Proms in the Park with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, and featured on legendary radio show, Desert Island Discs.
Her debut album Fickle Fortune has received outstanding reviews, as have her live shows on her recent tours of the UK, Germany and Denmark.
Robyn will be accompanied by outstanding multi-instrumentalist, Aaron Jones, a long-time member of Scottish band Old Blind Dogs and of the Scottish/German collaboration, Lita, as well as the Kate Rusby band.
