Police officers today measured the distance between a primary school and a man’s home after he was accused of carrying out a sex act nearby.
Adelbert Bredau has been banned from going within 100 metres of the school after it was confirmed he lived just 128 metres from the gates.
Bredau, 47, appeared in the dock at Perth Sheriff Court to face a charge of public indecency by masturbating in his car near Balhousie Primary School in Perth.
The offence is alleged to have taken place on yesterday in Muirton Place while Bredau was parked close to the school in his Vauxhall Zafira.
Fiscal depute Carol Whyte told the court that she was seeking a special bail condition banning Bredau from going within 100 metres of the school.
She said: “The school is 128 metres from his home.”
Solicitor Linda Clark, defending, said: “I think we have actually had it measured this morning.”
Bredau, of Dunkeld Road, Perth, denies the charge and a trial was set for January. He was granted bail on condition he stays more than 100 metres from the school apart from accessing his home.
