Pedestrians in Dundee’s West End have been “encouraged” to use a one-way system, but no official guidance has been released.
It has been suggested to walk on the left pavement where possible, to reduce congestion.
Narrow streets on and around Perth Road are becoming tighter as bars and cafés put seating outside, leading to concerns about pedestrians being too close together.
West End councillor Fraser Macpherson said: “A couple of residents have said why is the council encouraging people to walk on one side of the pavement only where there is a pavement on both sides of a street to assist social distancing – a temporary measure, not enforceable but simply advice.”
