Stalker secretly filmed Dundee woman at concert – then sent her the chilling footage

A stalker filmed a woman at a reggae concert without her realising – then sent her the chilling videos.

Olusola Olabode, 30, also turned up at a woman’s Dundee home and her place of work, despite her repeatedly telling him she wanted nothing to do with him.

Dundee Sheriff Court heard the pair had dated for six weeks, having met online on the dating app Tinder.

She ended the relationship at the beginning of August last year.

The victim instantly received a number of messages from Olabode, so blocked him on social media.

Fiscal depute Joanne Smith said: “On August 10 the complainer was alone at home when her buzzer began to sound constantly. She then received a picture message from the accused. She recognised it was a photograph of her front door.”

On August 18 she received a number of emails sent from Olabode which were offensive and contained sexual references.

That night she went to a concert by Jamaican dance-hall star Konshens at the SWG3 venue in Glasgow, and was invited on stage. As she made her way through the crowd Olabode approached her, leaving her visibly frightened.

The fiscal said that the next day the accused sent her three videos of herself at the concert, leaving her “very scared”. Olabode also sent her seven photographs of himself crying.

Over the next 10 days he bombarded the victim with messages and she repeatedly told him to go away or leave her alone.

On August 27 Olabode told her he was fed up of messaging and was “coming to Dundee” and would wait for her at her work.

The victim was too scared to leave her work and contacted police who traced Olabode at Tesco Riverside.

Olabode, of Kinnishead Avenue, Glasgow, admitted a charge of stalking between August 10 and 27.

He was ordered to carry out 200 hours of unpaid work and placed on a six-month non-harassment order.
