A man who attempted to pervert the course of justice by telling lies to police about who he was has had his sentence deferred.
Twenty-one-year-old Daniel Stewart, of Kingsway East, admitted that on March 3 this year, on Hebrides Drive, he gave false details to the police, telling them that he was Bradley Loftus, while knowing full well that he was not that person and that he attempted to pervert the course of justice.
Stewart also admitted breaching a bail curfew condition by being outwith his home address on the same date on Hebrides Drive, Mill O’ Mains.
Sheriff Jillian Martin-Brown remanded Stewart in custody in the meantime.
