A man accused of having a flare gun at a flat in Dundee will face trial next week.
Bartosz Pawlowski, 31, a prisoner at Perth, is one of five men charged with various offences, including breaking into business premises in Dundee’s technology park and stealing items.
Grzegorz Gasiorowski, 26, a prisoner at Perth, Maciej Malesza, 32, of North Ellen Street, Piotr Niemczyk, 32, of Morgan Street, and Dorian Czekaj, 22, of Bonnethill Court, also deny a total of nine charges between them.
All five deny that between February 24-26, they broke into Positive Steps at Swan House, Explorer Road, and stole mobile phones, a virtual reality headset, camera, cable and data card, four hard drives, a projector and concert tickets.
Niemczyk and Czekaj deny that between February 26-28 they broke into the premises of Alexander Annan at Swan House, Explorer Road, and stole paint brushes and a drill, and on February 27-28 they broke into Solas at the same address and stole a laptop and cash.
The same two, along with Gasiorowski, deny breaking into the Elim Church at the same address between February 1- March 26, and stealing two guitars and a light assembly.
Pawlowski denies that between February 24-April 17, at premises in Dundonald Street, he reset two stolen guitars.
Niemczyk and Czekaj deny that on February 26, at Swan House, Explorer Road, they broke into the Men’s Shed with intent to steal.
The pair also deny that between February 26-28, they broke into the business premises occupied by Fountaingate Chapel at the same address and stole a mixer and two speakers.
Gasiorowski denies that between February 26-March 10, at Cash Converters, Whitehall Crescent, he reset a mixer which had been taken through theft by housebreaking.
Pawlowski denies that on April 17, at an address on Dundonald Street, he possessed a prohibited weapon, namely a handgun designed or adapted for the discharge of cartridges or signal flares, contrary to the Firearms Act 1968.
All five will go to trial on Tuesday.
