Man struck victim on head with bottle at Liquid nightclub

James Gallagher, 20, of Aboyne Avenue, had sentence deferred after he was found guilty of assaulting a man with a glass bottle.

Gallagher was found guilty after trial by Sheriff Alastair Carmichael of assaulting Joe Meekins by striking him on the head with the bottle to his injury and permanent disfigurement at Liquid nightclub on South Ward Road on February 12 last year.

Sentence was deferred until August 24 and his bail was continued.
